Shopify Unite Is a Glimpse at the Future of Commerce

At Shopify offices around the world, computer monitors are lit up like beacons counting down towards a date just around the corner. It’s a date our entire team has been working frantically towards—the date when we can finally tell you everything we’ve been working on for the past year.

That date is May 8. The day Shopify Unite begins.

At Unite, we bring together our Shopify Partners and app developers who build on top of Shopify. It’s a chance to spend time with our developer ecosystem and discuss how we can simplify the technical aspects of building a business, so our merchants can spend more time making and selling.

What began as a developer conference has evolved into something more. Unite has become a key moment for us to unveil new features, tools, and technology to help make commerce better for everyone—for you.

On May 8 and 9, Shopify Unite will announce new products and features designed to help you run your business better. The goal is to save you time, cut out unnecessarily complicated tasks, and give you superpowers to evolve your business alongside retail trends. You shouldn’t have to worry about keeping your business relevant once you launch a Shopify store. We want to do the heavy lifting for you.

This year, we’re welcoming our merchant community to join the Shopify Unite experience. We’ll be hosting the physical event in Toronto, in Shopify’s home country of Canada, but we’re bringing the main stage right into your office or living room.
